About Ian, Founder of Investing In You Counselling

Headshot v2.PNG

Mental health is something that is very close to my heart, both personally and professionally.

In my own life I have experienced times where I have felt overwhelmed, lonely and as though I had to face everything on my own with no knowledge of what to do or how to cope.

Those periods have given me a deep understanding of how important it can be for everyone to have someone who can listen without judgement and offer a safe, confidential space to talk.

A particular interest of mine is neurodivergence (including autism and ADHD), and the impact this can have on the mental health of the individual and their families.

I have seen how devastating it can be when people feel misunderstood, unsupported, or overwhelmed and this has strengthened my desire to especially support neurodivergent people and their families navigate through what may feel a complicated and uncaring world at times.
